Volar Plastic and Valtra: collaboration in cab solutions

AGCO Corporation is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery. Its well-known brands include Valtra, Massey Ferguson and Fendt. Manufactured in Finland, Valtra tractors are known for their reliability, high level of customization and design for demanding operating conditions.

Volar Plastic has been involved in the development and production of Valtra tractors for decades. Over the years, the collaboration has grown into a broad supply scope covering dozens of different components for several tractor models.

Components for inside and outside the cab

Volar manufactures a range of cab-related components for Valtra tractors, including:

• interior roof linings

• interior trim components for the cab

• fenders and extension parts

• external plastic protection components for the machine

These components are produced for several Valtra main model series as well as their numerous customer-specific variations. This results in a large number of product variants and requires precise production management.

The components are manufactured using several different production technologies. Interior trim parts are typically compression moulded from polyester felt, while components such as fenders are vacuum formed from HD polyethylene. All parts are finished using robotic and CNC technologies to ensure consistent quality and dimensional accuracy.

International cooperation with a strong local presence

Although Valtra is part of the global AGCO organization and the collaboration operates within an international framework, a significant part of the cooperation takes place locally in Finland. Close communication enables efficient product development collaboration and quick responses to changes.
